As a timely response to the issue on pork barrel scam and Malampaya project fund, ARMM Regional Governor Mujiv Hataman speak before guests and participants on the ARMM-CSO’s Strategic Planning Workshop held on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Al Nor Convention Center. In his speech, he emphasized strengthening the CSO’s engagement in ARMM reform programs and even towards the transition to Bangsamoro 2015. Through the profiling and planning workshop, the ARMM will at least be given assurance that project funds will go to proper agencies, not to fake NGOs, and then to the community.
The Civil Society Organizations (CSO’s) play an essential role in being vigilant monitors of good governance and advocates of reform in ARMM. Thus, events such as this will tighten the good relation and the social responsibilities between the CSO’s and the ARMM government. This is in line with the aim of the Regional Governor to provide transparency and open governance in the region.
