RBOI is 2016 Banko Sentral’s ARMM Outstanding Partner
(Cotabato City, August 23, 2016). The Regional Board of Investments in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao wins award for the second straight year for Outstanding Partner for Report on Regional Economic Development of the Philippines (ARMM) from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP). RBOI first won in 2015 and is the first agency from ARMM to receive such award.
RBOI, together with various institutions that have continuously supported the BSP’s statistical initiatives, information requirements, and advocacy programs was recognized during the 2016 Awards Ceremony and Appreciation Lunch for Stakeholders today, August 23 at Greenleaf Hotel, Pandan Ballroom, General Santos City. Atty. Ishak V. Mastura, Chairman/Managing Head of RBOI will be receiving the award from BSP.
RBOI was nominated by BSP-Cotabato Branch and won over other nominees due to the value, comprehensiveness, and timeliness of the information/reports, the agency has provided to BSP necessary in the annual publication of the Report on Regional Economic Development in the Philippines (REDP). The agency also has high track record of cooperation which is another criterion for the said award category.
RBOI Chairman, Atty. Ishak V. Mastura said that the agency has been open to the public in highlighting its accomplishments through its official website, intensifying its information dissemination through the help of its media networks. “This is part of our active participation in upholding transparency and open governance by the Hataman administration and in support to President Duterte’s Executive Order on Freedom of Information that we in the government are mandated to full public disclosure. We make sure that relevant information is being shared to its stakeholders and partners who need ARMM investment related data like the BSP. This is also our way of providing useful knowledge that will further contribute to the advancement of an informed government and society as a whole”, Atty. Mastura further said.
This year, RBOI has approved the registration of Gintong Agri Corporation engaged in the development of oil palm plantations in Maguindanao worth P1.3 billion.
